WOW!House Furniture
Rigby & Rigby x Ceccotti Collezioni
WOW!House always produces some exciting collaborations each year, and Rigby & Rigby have been very grateful to collaborate with Ceccotti Collezioni on the Samuel Heath bathroom interior this year.
The beautiful forms & sculpted timber framework of their furniture pieces marry beautifully with the well considered & built space by the Rigby & Rigby Construction team.
The whole team at Cecotti Collezioni & Dario Passare (Showroom Manager & Curator) in particular has been such a great support of the bathroom design & showcasing the furniture items this year at Wow! House.
The Ceccotti Collezioni story heralds from Ceccotti Aviero, a company founded in 1956, specializing in the production of residential furniture and later in supplying hotels. The company collaborated with some of the most prestigious hotel groups in the world, Trusthouse Forte from London, Sheraton and Ciga, giving an international application to the traditional artisan workmanship of the Tuscan town of Cascina, nestled between Florence and Pisa, where the company is based.

Rigby & Rigby x Sudo Reiko - NUNO
The Rigby & Rigby team were in Japan earlier this year to visit some current projects in the region.
During the trip, the Rigby & Rigby team visited The Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Tokyo, which became a source of inspiration for the Wow! House project having seen the lovely textile designs throughout the hotel. This was seen especially at the hotel entrance with a full height mural backdrop to the porte cochère arrival desk.
The Japanese textile designer Sudo Reiko who was first commissioned to design all the textiles the Hotel in 2000, has always been a champion of contemporary textile design & Japanese textile heritage. Between 2001 & 2006 Sudo Reiko worked with 50 craft studios across Japan for the textiles throughout the hotel public spaces & the hotel suites.
Sudo Reiko is the Design Director of design firm NUNO, which she succeeded in 1987 from the founder Junichi Arai.
Nuno (meaning ‘fabric’ in Japanese), are located in a small district Ropponghi in Tokyo.
They are known for still celebrating the traditional methods of Japanese textile craftsmanship, whilst embracing new contemporary technologies.

NUNO
NUNO is the fabric house who Rigby & Rigby have collaborated with on the Wow! House project.
The design team at NUNO were excited when they first set eyes on the interior design of the bathroom space created by James Ashfield, Charlie Kentish, Jin Yan & Yuchen Wu.
One of their bold & unique fabric designs & weaves are illustrated below, however we sense checked that the final selected fabric & colours worked successfully in harmony with the design overall & importantly the Ceccotti Collezioni furniture pieces.
Sudo Reiko has been exhibited all around the world, and here in London too at Japan House London where her work has been on display & well documented for all to enjoy. We have been thrilled to have collaborated with Japan House London on the Wow! House project too in recent months who provided some beautiful objet within the interior space.

The WOW!House Fabric Selections & Upholstery
The final fabric selected for the Wow! House was linked to the interior design scheme and also the products that the fabrics would be used with.
Colourways seen with a dark indigo & also a monochromatic pattern were the final selections designed by NUNO for the Wow! House project.
Special mention & thanks go to Orie Takashige from NUNO for collaborating with Rigby & Rigby on the project.

The Janine Lounge Armchair & Duo bench were upholstered by Ben Whistler Ltd, who are located close by to WOW!House on Lots Road.
Their expert team of designers & upholsterers produced the amazing upholstery as seen on the Janine Lounge Armchair & Duo Bench within our bathroom WOW!House space.
It was lovely to work with Ben de Groot & Jay Chauchan from Ben Whistler on this project & we appreciate the overall collaborative effort alongside Ceccotti Collezioni & NUNO.

Furniture Details
Interior Designer Jin Yan produced some beautiful photographs of the Ceccotti Collezioni furniture in our bathroom space to showcase the lovely timber forms & elegant craftsmanship.
These forms sit elegantly within the interior bathroom space, and the timber tones marry with one another & also the polished plaster wall finish.
