Rigby Away Day - Celebrating 20 Years of Business

Celebrating 20 years in business is no small feat, and for Rigby & Rigby, this milestone offered the perfect opportunity to reflect, reconnect, and look ahead with renewed ambition. Marking two decades of craftsmanship, growth, and dedication, the team came together in the heart of the Cotswolds at Hyll Hotel, a setting that perfectly matched the occasion. Surrounded by rolling countryside, golden sunshine, and the unmistakable charm of rural England, it was a celebration worthy of the journey so far.

From the moment everyone arrived, there was a sense of occasion in the air. The weather could not have been more generous, with clear skies and warm spring light setting the tone for two days of relaxed celebration. Long tables filled with exceptional food, flowing drinks, and plenty of laughter created an atmosphere that felt both indulgent and deeply personal. It was a chance to step away from the pace of day-to-day work and truly appreciate the people behind the business, the relationships, the shared experiences, and the collective effort that has shaped Rigby & Rigby over the past 20 years.

Beyond the celebrations, the event also provided a space for inspiration and learning. We were joined by an exceptional lineup of guest speakers who brought fresh perspectives and valuable insights. Dr Alison Edgar MBE delivered an energising session on intrapreneurship, encouraging us to think like entrepreneurs within our roles and to take ownership of innovation and growth. Cien Solon explored the rapidly evolving world of AI, offering practical guidance on how it can be embraced within our industry to drive efficiency and creativity. Robert Sadler-Brocklehurst added further depth with his own perspectives, leaving us with plenty to reflect on as we look to the future.

A particularly meaningful moment during the celebrations was the opportunity to recognise the loyalty and dedication of our long-serving team members. We were honoured to be joined by Sir Peter Rigby, who presented long service certificates and commemorative coins to those who have been with the business for over a decade. This recognition highlighted not only their commitment, but the integral role they have each played in shaping the success of Rigby & Rigby. Chris Thomas, Iain Johnson, Leroy Smith, Paul Hulbert, Will Rigby, Mark Cowley, Paul Jones, George Wolstenholme, Frankie Foord, and Adam Hadley have collectively contributed an incredible wealth of experience, consistency, and passion to the company. Their dedication over the years stands as a true reflection of the values that underpin the business and was a proud moment for everyone to celebrate together.

Ultimately, the two days were about more than just marking an anniversary, they were about recognising a shared journey and the people who make it possible. Celebrating such a significant milestone together reinforced the strength of the team and the culture that underpins everything we do. It was a memorable, energising, and genuinely special occasion, one that will stay with us as we move confidently into the next chapter of Rigby & Rigby’s story.
