Autumn 2026 - Site Progress Update Countryside New Build, Surrey

Progress continues at one of our countryside projects in Surrey, with the building now moving through an exciting stage of construction as the below-ground works near completion and the superstructure continues to take shape above ground.

Since our last update, the basement construction has progressed significantly and is now nearing completion, with the remaining works focused on finalising the below-ground drainage and the final waterproofing elements associated with the ground floor slab. Attention focused on continuity and detailing of the waterproofing system at key interfaces and junctions, ensuring the below-ground structure remains protected ahead of the next stages of construction. The completion of these works will allow the project to progressively transition away from the below-ground construction phase and towards the external envelope and internal construction of the house.

Above ground, the main structural frame is now substantially complete, with the structural steelwork and precast concrete floors installed throughout the house. Delivering these elements has required close coordination between our specialist subcontractor, the structural engineer, and our architecture team, ensuring the structural, architectural, and technical requirements remain fully coordinated throughout the process.

With the structural frame now largely in place, the next phase will see the masonry to the house commence. These works will begin to establish the external walls and elevations of the building, providing the primary substrate for the subsequent façade, insulation and wider building envelope works.

Alongside the external masonry, the roof carpentry will also commence, introducing another significant element of the building envelope and taking the superstructure of the house towards becoming an enclosed weather tight shell. The roof structure coordinated with the completed structural frame, masonry, and architectural details to bring these elements come together on site.

With the primary structure now in place, the coming weeks will see the building change as the external walls and roof structure progress. A significant effort from the entire project team to date, and we look forward to continuing this progress through the next phase of construction.
