Rigby & Rigby Shortlisted at World Architecture Festival 2025 for Khao Yai Project

Rigby & Rigby is proud to announce that its landmark residential project in Khao Yai, Thailand, has been shortlisted for the prestigious World Architecture Festival (WAF) 2025, in the category of Future Projects – Houses.

The World Architecture Festival is one of the industry’s most respected global awards programmes, celebrating design excellence, innovation, and future-forward thinking in the built environment. The final live judging will take place this November in Miami, where the project will be presented to a panel of renowned international jurors.

The Khao Yai residence, a private family home situated on the edge of a national park in Thailand, has been designed with sustainability, serenity, and architectural clarity at its core. It sets a new benchmark for future luxury housing—balancing refined aesthetics with ecological responsibility.

The design was led by Iain Johnson, Founder and CEO of Rigby & Rigby, alongside Charlie Kentish, Associate Director. Their vision was to create a contemporary retreat deeply connected to the surrounding natural landscape, using local materials and pioneering environmental strategies.

“We are absolutely thrilled to be shortlisted,” said Iain Johnson. “Khao Yai represents a fusion of vision, craftsmanship, and environmental integrity. It’s a project that’s very close to our hearts.”

The recognition from WAF affirms Rigby & Rigby’s place at the forefront of global design innovation and marks an exciting moment for the studio as it continues to expand its presence internationally.

Well done to the entire team!
