Rigby and Rigby visits Gulfstream, Savannah

Sky High Perfection

At Rigby & Rigby, we believe that true luxury lies in the details . The kind you can only appreciate up close. Recently, our team travelled across the Atlantic to Savannah, Georgia, to visit Gulfstream Aerospace and carry out an in-person quality check on one of our most exciting projects to date: Project Knight - a bespoke Gulfstream G700.

It was a long journey for just a few short hours on site, but our commitment to excellence means no distance is too great when it comes to ensuring perfection for our clients. Before the aircraft entered its initial paint stage, we meticulously inspected every aspect of the lay-up to ensure that each design element met our exacting standards. Every line, join, and surface was reviewed in detail  - an essential step in transforming our digital designs into tangible reality.

During our visit, we were also given an exclusive tour of Gulfstream’s impressive facilities. We explored the seat construction warehouse, where luxury seating begins with robust frames and is finished with the finest leathers. We saw the formation of the bathroom capsule,  a remarkable piece of modular engineering,  and watched as bespoke veneer bulkheads were crafted with artistry and precision.

These bulkheads are formed from laser-cut veneer pieces that interlock like a jigsaw puzzle, each joint finished with elegant, custom metal detailing. The result is not only structurally precise but visually stunning. A testament to both Gulfstream’s craftsmanship and the bespoke design vision that defines Rigby & Rigby interiors.

Walking through the factory, surrounded by the hum of craftsmanship and innovation, we couldn’t help but feel a deep sense of excitement. Seeing our work transition from pixels on a screen to a physical masterpiece,  especially one that will soon soar the skies on a G700 , is a uniquely rewarding experience.

We left Savannah extremely pleased with the quality and progress of the project, and more inspired than ever to continue pushing the boundaries of luxury design. This visit was a reminder that every journey, no matter how far, is worth taking when it’s in pursuit of perfection.
