HQR Summer Ball 2019
Representatives from Rigby & Rigby attended the HQR Summer Ball held at Park Lane’s Grosvenor House Hotel – the ‘go to’ charity event for companies working in the high-end residential sector. The HQR Summer Ball brings together the great and the good of London’s unrivalled high-quality residential construction community. It offered a chance for us to help raise money and awareness to three charities – The Lighthouse Club, Child Bereavement UK and Evolve Housing & Support. The event was attended by 750 guests from construction, architecture, engineering, interior design, project management and many more services. We are always looking for worthwhile causes to support and this event also offered an excellent networking opportunity for our team.A drinks reception kicked the evening off, before guests were called to dinner and heard from each of the three charities who had been nominated to be the beneficiaries of this year’s event.A three-course meal followed, before the auctioneer Russ Williams took to the stage and led guests through a highly entertaining raffle and auction.Walter Lilly and Sizebreed sponsored this year’s ball which meant that all the money raised at the event went to the charities that HQR London have chosen to support.Chosen Charities:The Lighthouse Club:The Lighthouse Club have been a constant beneficiary from HQR’s fundraising since its inception in 2016. The HQR Charitable Trust has now provided in excess of £100,000 in donations to this charity which exists to support every construction industry worker (and their families) in time of need.Evolve Housing + Support:Evolve is a leading homelessness charity in London, providing housing and support to over 2,000 people each year including in the borough of Kensington & Chelsea. Evolve believe in building on people’s strengths, aspirations and goals to help break the cycle of homelessness and help them move forward with their lives.Child Bereavement UK:Child Bereavement UK supports families and educates professionals when a baby or child of any age dies or is dying, or when a child is facing bereavement. The charity’s mission is to ensure the accessibility of high-quality child bereavement support and information to all families and professionals by increasing their reach and plugging the gaps that exists in bereavement support and training across the country and embedding the standards in the sector.
