Countryside New Build in Progress

We’re pleased to share some significant progress on our 42 acre site in Surrey, led by the country architecture and delivery studio. This is one of three significant appointments in the area as the team reaches several key construction milestones.

A crucial phase of the works has now been achieved with the successful diversion of the existing sewer infrastructure.. This complex operation required the rerouting of existing sewer infrastructure around the footprint of the proposed building. The works were carried out from three excavated pits, a primary drive pit, and two reception pits each approximately 5.5 metres deep. Guided auger boring (GAB) installation method was employed to install the new pipeline with precision, minimising disruption to existing services and maintaining continuity of sewer operations. Coordination with statutory authorities was critical to ensure compliance with all regulatory and engineering standards. The successful diversion now allows all future structural and substructure works to proceed without service conflicts.

Our basement contractor has advanced substructure works with sheet piling installation around the property footprint now completed. With these new retaining structures providing necessary lateral earth support for excavations and ensuring soil stability for the upcoming basement works to deeper levels.

Concurrently, the demolition of the existing property is progressing following planning approval, allowing for a fully cleared site and enabling subsequent operations to proceed without undue hinderance.

With site preparation completed, the project is progressing to bored piling operations, which will establish the primary deep foundations of the new property structure. The piling works have been designed to achieve the required load capacities to support the basement substructure as well as the new dwelling above, and this advancement in the project allows works to transition towards forming the ground floor slab in the upcoming weeks.
