New RIBA Part 2 Architectural Assistant Joins Rigby & Rigby

Rigby & Rigby is pleased to announce the addition of a new RIBA Part 2 Architectural Assistant, Charlotte Pires to its talented team. Charlotte brings fresh perspectives and innovative ideas, reinforcing the firm's commitment to excellence and cutting-edge design.
The Journey to Rigby & Rigby
Charlotte worked at Childs Sulzmann Architects in Bristol after achieving her Part 2 qualification at the University of Bath’s school of Architecture with a first class Masters degree with honours. Charlotte's technical education combined with her passion for heritage, arts and sustainable design, aligns perfectly with Rigby & Rigby’s ethos of creating luxurious, yet environmentally conscious, spaces.
Charlotte’s work in practice has ranged from residential projects, design of cultural, community, hotel, and art projects and creative re-use urban developments, where she demonstrated a keen eye for detail and a holistic approach to design. Charlotte’s diverse experience ensures she is well-prepared to contribute to the multifaceted projects at Rigby & Rigby.
A Perfect Match for Rigby & Rigby
Rigby & Rigby is known for its meticulous attention to detail and bespoke design solutions that cater to the unique needs of each client. Charlotte’s focus on all aspects of design, including all senses, especially the sense of smell were of particular interest. Her thesis project for a natural perfumery in Cadiz, Spain investigated how smell can impact our sense of place and elevate the user experience. This research has been well received and we look forward to incorporating it into design projects going forward.
Looking Ahead
Charlotte’s appointment as a RIBA Part 2 Architectural Assistant marks an exciting new chapter. Her fresh perspectives and innovative ideas are expected to bring a new dimension to our projects. As she steps into her new role, Charlotte looks forward to contributing to the creation of luxurious, sustainable living spaces that resonate with clients and prioritise the user experience. Charlotte is looking to commence her RIBA Part3 education this year, which Rigby and Rigby will support, helping Charlotte on the path to become a fully qualified Architect.
Rigby & Rigby’s Associate Director of Architecture, Dave Ellis, expressed his enthusiasm about Charlotte’s addition to the team: “We are thrilled to welcome Charlotte to Rigby & Rigby. Her passion and consideration for how architectural design can alter our perception and sense of place make her a perfect fit for our team. We are confident that she will play a pivotal role in shaping our future projects and I look forward to working together.”
